The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

My first full comic!

So after 2 months of none stop work, I'm finally done with the Top Cow project. The title is called "Urban Myths" A story center on the detective "Jack Medusa"..who is Medusas son. The whole story is developed in a modern city with heavy greek inlfuences. With all the creatures from the greek mythology mixed with day to day events on the life of a detective.

I got the great chance to do almost everything in this title. Character designs, pencils, little ink..and colors. It was a real challenge, but lots of fun

This title will be part of an anual issue Top Cow realeases named "Pilot Season" where they put togehter 6 different pilot titles and the fans get to choose by voting...which 2 of the 6 will get their own series. So, if you think my work has what it takes to become a full series..VOTE FOR ME!..if you don't like it..then recomend my work to some one you hate, and make them vote then.

The "Urban myths" issue is supose to be out sometime on July, so it's right on time for SDCC. If you want to know more about it..check the link [link]
