Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

IRON MAN!!

Just saw Iron man and it fuckin rooooocks. I love every little bit of it. FX..music, story..all. And the best scene is after the credits. I'm not gonna spoil it for allof you but it's just a really cool scene. Also...don't know if anyone notice..but  When iron man first uses his suit...he encounters...tom morello??...I thought it was pretty cool, never expected to see tom morello on iron man. Anyways...GO WATCH IT NOW...then go buy GTA 4 please

lo chequé en imdb y si es Tom Morello, "insurrect #5" jajaj yo también lo vi, le pregunté a un amigo que estaba sentado a un lado, pero luego deseché la idea porque pensé que era demasiado raro.

muy chingona la movie. desde que empezamos con back in black en el soundtrack en la primera escena, supe que ibamos por buen camino.

WTF there was a scene after credits?! Damn missed that .

But yea the movie rocked, The way they put together the suit was just insane. I didnt really like how the last part went down though, i was expecting a more hardcore fight to the death.;>
